I had an original...and the problem with leaking has been fixed. This one has a programmable timer to allow you to perk a fresh pot each morning. You can vary from iced coffee, to decaf, to a smaller quantity. Just an overall EXCELLENT perfect machine!

Great idea on this maker but it needs help. It always looks dirty. (the plastic stains easily) This maker is plastic and after a few months it starts to leak, and there's no stopping it. Mine didn't last 6 months. My sister-in-law had the same problems.

This was our second Hamilton-Beach BrewStation, a coffeemaker we selected due to its unique design, i.e., no carafe.
However, I would not recommend. Our first one lasted about 18 months, this latest/second one only 12 months. The first failure after 18 months could have been attributed to a "lemon", but two in a row with such a short lifecycle??? No way.

Pros: Convenience
Cons: Failed after 12 months
