We bought it and were happy for 13 months, other than it being a little noisy. At 13 months old it stopped pumping so ordered new pump parts @ $100 and fixed the problem for 2 months. At 15 months we jumped out of bed to smell a burning of components. This repair is more than the 499 dollars we paid for it. We heard that Whirlpool now took over Maytag so maybe they are better now. All I know is if I would have bought a Kenmore or Whirlpool, I be not writing this review. I hope this helps and maybe I'll see you in line at Sears buying a Whirlpool or Kenmore.

I bought this new maytag because my old dishwasher left soap stains.
Now, just after owning this new maytag
for 5 months, Im getting soap stains again. That's all im tasting now, cascade soap. I have softened water from the city, so I dont fill the soap resevoir all the way up, I just fill the resevoir about half way up. My rinse resevoir is about half full, and Im sure I have hot water at least for first load.
So why am i getting soap stains again, I suspect the heating element is not working, or the pump got clogged with food, or theres not enough water pressure to rinse the soap off.
All I know is that I got a lemon.
I wish I knew how to get this soap taste out of my mouth and on my lips.

This is the worst machine we have ever bought. If we don't wash the dishes before you put them in this dishwasher, they'll come out of the cycle dirty. And yes, it is very, very noisy. I can't wait to get rid of it. Frankly, the Maytag stove and refrigerator we purchased isn't that impressive either. My suggestion is to look for another appliance company because Maytag has gone really gone downhill. Oh well, that's outsourcing for you.

Pros: Zip
Cons: Foods clings to items & swirls around to land again...
