Works for all my baking needs & more with the extra attachments. Cuts alott of time in half. I have had mine for 20 years & still works as good as the day I bought it. People are always asking me how well I like it. Well if anything ever happens to the one I have, I WILL get another one.
This mixer is very heavy, your best bet is to put it in a place on the counter that you are going to be using & leave it. But the product over all, is worth it.
Pros: Works for all my baking needs & more.
Cons: It's very heavy, best bet find the right space & leave it.

i won this from work a couple years ago and i was soooo excited when i got it! its beautiful and just makes u feel like "wow", how cool is that. i used it to make a HUGE batch of mashed potatoes. you gotta love that. also used it to make cake a few times. very durable and many different settings. the best thing is that if you go on the companys website you can buy extra attatchments to make sausage or do a variety of other things you wouldnt think of so it saves you from having a million different gadgets for each activity. i love how this company offers it in so many colors, not just plain white or black.
Pros: perfect for everything
Cons: way too heavy if you dont always leave it on the counter. it does look beautiful left on the counter though

For mixing versatility and overall performance, the Artisan beats anything else out there - and I've used them all as a food consultant and caterer. The ability to tilt the head back is incredibly handy - much moreso than you would think if you haven't used it. There are lots of attachments to connect to the power take off, if you have a special need. It can handle anything from merangue to a triple batch of chocolate chip cookies. If you have room on a counter, leaving it out negates the size and weight (getting a cover is a good idea here). If you must store or move it, put it on a large, heavy half-sheet pan to make it more manageable.

Pros: Multiple attachments, tilt head, mixes anything!
Cons: Big - but it needs to be!

Love this mixer. Have had it 3 plus years and use it all the time. Great around the holidays when making tons of cookies, bars and other dessert items. Fairly heavy so it stays in place when mixing dough for bread, cookies, ets. About the only drawback I can think of is; when trying to add flour to the bowl it's sort of tough has the blade gets in the way, but that's on all mixers so I'm not picking on just this one mixer.
Have recommended it to many friends as this is a must have for the kitchen.
Pros: Solid, Powerful, Easy To Use, Easy To Clean
Cons: none to speak of

I love this mixer! I have owned it for a year now and because I use it much more often than even I thought, it holds a place on my counter beautifully. I have many of the available attachments, including the pasta maker and meat grinder which I use on occasion. I would recomend this prodoct to anyone who loves to cook. Because it is easy to clean I use it for much more than just bake goods; making meatloaf is a breeze in this mixer!
Pros: Easy to use, easy to clean
Cons: attachments are great but storing all of them and remembering how to use them is a draw back
